As a program of the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency, Startup Meetup fosters a powerful, active community of entrepreneurs on The 40 Acres through monthly events, referred to as “Startup Meetups”. By attending meetups, students are able to learn about entrepreneurship, connect with the UT and Austin startup communities, share their startup ideas, and receive feedback from peers. Each event will consist of a guest speaker and 3 student startup pitch presentations, ending with a reception with food from sponsors. Attendees will leave these events empowered with a greater understanding of entrepreneurship, new potential co-founder connections, and hopefully some inspiration. Startup Meetup is all inclusive. We welcome students with or without existing startups and from other schools as well as those in the Austin startup community.


Meetup Structure

7:00pm-7:20pm | Arrival, Community Announcements, and Sponsor Recognition

7:20pm-8:00pm | Guest Speaker (30 minute presentation + 10 minute Q&A)

8:00pm-8:30pm | Student Startup Presentations (5 minute pitch + 5 minute Q&A each)

8:30pm-9:00pm | Reception with Food from Sponsors


Student Startup Pitch Series

At every Startup Meetup, three student-led startups take the stage to showcase their ventures. This is a great way to practice pitching in front of an audience and gain exposure within the community.
