LEA kicks-off first Freshman Founders Program

Ever since we started LEA the first thing students we meet tell us is, “I wish I knew about this as a freshman.” To us, this signified a lack of interdisciplinary promotion of the entrepreneurial resources provided to students from our University. Therefore, a small team of LEA Agents have worked throughout the summer planning our first ever Freshman Founders Program. The initiative is being incorporated into the larger UT-Austin 360 Connection Program to engage students in like-minded communities during their first semester.

Freshman Founders is for a select community of incoming freshman with ambitions of starting a company in college. Students chosen for the program will gain access to social seminars designed to expose attendees to the local startup communities and resources for student entrepreneurs. Each event will be co-hosted by LEA and another entrepreneurial organization and contain a networking reception and interactive exercise that will help Freshman Founders build relationships and knowledge of how to use them for a startup.

Incoming #UT17 Freshmen should apply here if they want to participate in the program.

If you are interested in learning more we are having an Freshman Founders Info Session on September 4th at 8pm in the SAC Room 2.120.
