Join us on Tuesday, March 1st for a conversation on social entrepreneurship and technology. Moderated by Dr. Thomas Darwin, the panel will feature Trevor Boehm, venture fellow at UnLtd USA, Brian Bugh, head instructor at iXperience, and Reenie Collins, executive director of Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. This is an exclusive opportunity for all UT students interested in technology and social impact to learn from experienced professionals and connect with speakers one-on-one.
UnLtd USA seeks out, funds and supports start-up social entrepreneurs—individuals with the ideas, passion and entrepreneurial approaches to create long-term solutions to some of the world’s toughest social, environmental and civic problems.
iXperience is a summer program for college students to come to Cape Town, South Africa and learn to solve local problems using web development in Ruby on Rails for four weeks. Students then join a local company for a four week internship program.
Health Alliance for Austin Musicians provides access to affordable health care for Austin’s low-income, uninsured working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness.
